Your own horse!
This program is dedicated to horseless horse lovers who want a horse of their own without all the worry. A $150 monthly donation will give you access to a horse of your choosing (assuming it’s a good fit) three (3) times a month for grooming and connecting (no riding). Members will use our grooming supplies or those purchased specifically for their BEE MINE horse. Members will be allowed special access on holidays or other special events to spend time with their BEE MINE resident. Bee Mine Ambassadors shirts are available to Bee Mine participants for $20 each.
Our Bee Mine horses have been hand-picked based on their personalities, interest in being handled, and safety level.
Some of our horses let us handle them, but it has taken us years to earn their trust, and we interact with them on their terms, so for these reasons they have been excluded.
Chesapeake
Peke is a sweet older Quarter horse. He loves attention and will stand for hours for grooming. He enjoys yummy treats and never misses a meal. He will be perfect if you are learning about horses or want something super quiet to share your space.
Cupcake & Rosie
Cupcake & Rosie are owner surrenders. Cupcake is 100% blind, aged, and has cushings. She requires special grain, spring full-body clippings, and frequent farrier care. She resides with her seeing-eye donkey, Rosie who also requires special feed and farrier care.
Cupcake is suitable for a beginner. Rosie will stand for grooming and love on her terms. They are a package deal, so by becoming a Bee MIne ambassador for one, you will get to interact with both.
Elsa
Elsa is a very chatty lady. She never misses the chance to meet people or explore the farm. She is currently keeping Bammer company and would love some pampering.
Minnie
Minnie is a quiet older lady who likes a laid-back experience and may some days just choose to keep her distance. She will come up for treats though and is not happy about her current diet.
Summit
Summit is aged and her experience shows. She will stand for grooming and treats all day. She isn't a far of fly spray but patiently tolerates all the attention she can get.
Amelia
Amelia is a young lady with lots of life in her. She is always the first up for dinner and loves to be petted and take treats. Due to her youth, she is best suited for someone with experience.
Buckie
Buckie is a young fella who loves attention. He greets visitors with happy ears and is always a polite gentleman. He is a beginner-level horse, but due to his size and his field mates, who are both weary of people, he is best suited to someone with horse experience.
Dutton
Dutton loves people. He never lets our visitors pass until they give him some attention. He is a beginner-level horse, but due to his size, he is best suited to someone with horse experience.
Emmett
Emmett is still learning to trust people. His past life was not a good one. He is reserved and stands for grooming and attention. He needs someone with a quiet slow hand.
Halo
Halo is the sweetest mare. She loves people and could use someone to love her. She is a beginner-level horse, but her fieldmates are less interested in humans, so for that reason someone with horse experience would be best.
Moose
Moose is a large appy gelding that used to be a kid's horse. He has some physical issues that prevent him from being ridden, but he misses the attention of having a person of his own. Due to his size, he is best suited to someone with horse experience.
Odi
Odi is adorable. He loves hugs, people, and treats. He is young and can be naughty at times, so someone with experience would be best suited for this adorable fella.
Red
Red is a lovely Quarter horse gelding. He is quiet but quite large. He will stand for grooming but we don't know how he will take to being away from his herd for grooming and since his field mates can be silly he is suited for someone with horse experience.
Tequila
Tequila is a lovely mare who is quiet and reserved. She loves attention and human contact, unlike her field mate.
Winnie
Winnie is cute but weary. He doesn't like to be caught but once he is he doesn't mind the attention. He needs an experienced quiet hand.
Bond
Bond is a sweet boy but needs an experienced hand. He can be weary of people and knows his boundaries, but will test them. He loves attention and will stand for quiet grooming.
Sally
Sally is a big girl and is a feisty red mare at times. She knows better but it gets the best of her. Hotshot her best pal is weary of people, but wants to be loved.
Turbo
Turbo is a true red mare. One day sweet and then the next, sour. She can be handled, but has her moments, so you need to know what you are doing with this spicy gal.
