 We welcome the horses others turn away.
When space and resources allow, we accept horses regardless of their age, breed, condition, location, or circumstances—including senior, blind, disabled, neglected, traumatized, slaughter-bound, and medically fragile horses.

We believe every life has value.
We do not euthanize horses for convenience, age, disability, or lack of usefulness. Humane euthanasia is considered only when medically necessary to prevent suffering and in consultation with our veterinarian.

Your donation supports the horses—period.
No one at Travellers Rest Farm Sanctuary receives a salary or personal compensation. Every donated dollar goes directly toward providing hay, grain, veterinary care, farrier services, medication, shelter, and other essential care for our horses.

We are entirely volunteer-run.
Our sanctuary is powered by dedicated volunteers who give their time, labor, and hearts to ensure every resident receives compassionate, individualized care.

We remain accountable for every horse we help.
From sanctuary residents and Forever Foster placements to direct-placement and end-of-life cases, we document and track each horse so their story—and the impact of your support—does not disappear once the immediate need has passed.
